Letter From Our President

Jean Kuzmich is the newest member of the Board of Directors of the Mother Teresa Maternity Home. Jean is a long time resident of El Dorado County where she and her husband Paul raised their three children. Both sons still live in the county and their daughter is close by in Sacramento. Jean was a teacher for many years in the Rescue school district at Lake Forest School where she taught primary grades. While she was still working she became involved in the Guild, helping with the telephone tree. She was drawn to the Mother Teresa Home because one of her sons and his wife were in the process of adopting a child, (now an adorable eight year old with four year old sister!) once Jean retired from teaching, she was able to devote more time to Mother Teresa’s, serving as Secretary of the Guild and helping drive women in the home to their appointments. Jean is particularly pleased that the Mother Teresa Home is a local charity providing help to pregnant women in need, the only such charity in El Dorado County. Jean is also a volunteer for CASA. We are pleased to have Jean become a member of the Board of Directors where good use will be made of her compassion, common sense, and willingness to work hard. Welcome, Jean!
